Rothengurg

This is a beautiful old time city.  People live and work here.  However it is a tourist  town with lots of tourist shops.  A lot sell Christmas things.

Mont St. Michel - Wednesday Aug 25 2010

This is a fortified Monastery built on a massive rock in the of a wide sandy bay.  It was started over a thousand years ago.  It was first a stronghold then as a monastery.  One road goes around the rock with shops on both sides then ends in the monastery.

Normandy Coast

The first stop in France was the Normandy Coast.  The cemetary here was very impressive.
